The GORUCK Mackall is named for and inspired by Camp Mackall, the U.S. Army’s Special Forces training facility in North Carolina, which has produced generations of elite soldiers. With this in mind, the Mackall rucking shoe is engineered with the extreme demands of U.S. military training as a guide post.
The shoe’s rugged EVA midsole and aggressive triple compound outsole can handle any type of terrain, while a lightweight polyester knit upper (reinforced with TPU film) and an optimized 13mm heel-to-toe drop enable breathable comfort and reduced strain on the achilles during rucking exercises.

Aggressive Triple Compound Outsole
Includes (1) forefoot rubber with a deep tread for increased grip, (2) a hardened midfoot formulated from a rock climbing compound for exceptional abrasion resistance, and (3) a dense heel built for extreme durability with an expanded heel strike area that won't break down over time or distance.
Rugged Midsole
Wrapping around the entire upper, the midsole provides significantly more stability and maximum support.
Knit Upper
100% polyester knit constructed with the strength and durability to thrive in unforgiving environments. At 230 g/sqm, it's lightweight and fast drying. High-wear areas are reinforced with a protective TPU film.
13mm Heel to Toe Drop
The ideal heel-to-toe drop for rucking. The 13mm offset reduces the strain on the achilles (and by proxy the ankles, knees, and hips) and helps to accommodate a natural gait in an unnatural world of asphalt and man-made surfaces.
Wide Toe Box & Toe Cap
Extra space in the forefoot reduces the friction that can occur if the feet rub against the insides of the shoe. An additional dual-layered toe cap provides extra protection and abrasion resistance.
Molded Heel Lock & TPU Heel Counter
PU foam comfortably locks in the heel to prevent slippage and excessive movement around the ankle. The heel counter further anchors the foot for extra stability during dynamic, load bearing exercises.
