I really like the Rogue Monster Shrimp Trawler; liked it so much I ordered 2. Like others have mentioned, before you consider to buy, check your rack height and where the heavy bag will sit. I have a 100” rack and I had to install the Trawler up to highest point skipping the top bolt and using the middle and lower bolts (it’s still secure but wish I could have used all 3 bolts). I’m using 5ft 200lbs Prolast heavy bag. If you install a spring/swivel kit (normally 6-8” length) the bag will sit too low (5’ 10) even at the extend height of the Trawler on 100” uprights. I had to sacrifice and remove the spring and use only the swivel with carabiners. This is my only con which really isn’t Rogue’s fault. I highly recommend the Trawler for heavy bag installs if you have at least 100” uprights. Anyone taller than 6ft is going to be disappointed at the bag height. I chose the Trawler because I didn’t want to damage my ceiling, plus I like the clean install of using my Rogue rack. Also to note…I did anchor my RM-6 down with 3/8 5” wedge anchor bolts. If you’re going to anchor you rack, please invest in a rotary hammer drill. Not a drill with hammer option but a true rotary hammer system. Use a 3/8 SDS plus/rebar drill bit. It’ll make install a breeze. Also a 3lbs mini sledge to hammer in the anchor bolts. Good luck. The Trawler with shackles is really nice!

The Rogue Monster Shrimp Trawler have added a new dimension to our Martial Arts Training area. The quality of the Trawler is second to none. We are very pleased with this product!

I add to my basement gym monthly. Thats my investment to myself and health. At this point in my life I don’t take shortcuts. That’s why I buy Rogue. Enough said.

I love how much my programs have changed for the better with the addition of the shrimp trawler.

Bought 2 for different sides of rack one for Heavy Bag and other side for TRX straps.

I cannot hang it higher because some designer desided that the spacing for bolts should be 6” while the spacing for crossbars is 4”. Now I am losing precious 4” of height for my heavy bag because of this design decision!!

This is the second one I’ve purchased. Does as outlined and remains a quality product. I installed it into a large wood stud so a trip to the hardware store for lag screws was needed. Rating 4 stars for the extra hassle getting it installed, but wouldn’t hesitate to buy again in the future.

The Arm is a great addition to our gym. The Shrimp Trawler arm is used with a heavy bag (110lbs) and can handle a good workout without any issues. I would definitely recommend this item.
